consider short (1 minute) tech tips for weekly motivation for this class (such as the one above for changing the canvas profile). Make them relevant and casual and practical. This might address the “peer reviews said it was hard to stay motivateed” in the check in chat above. These teasers could be motivators for the lesson plan. For example on copyright, maybe a story about how Agnes Scott prof got sued for music violation.
