I applied for a PDC grant to complete a NYC program for an ART21 Video program, but was not admitted, so I asked teh PDC committee if I could use the funds to support another project–an art piece involving glass houses as objects:

Nell,I’ve heard back from all members of the PDC and the Dean is in agreement that we unanimously support your redirection of your PDC funds for your project.  Good luck with your classes.  Just remember the glass blowers maxim number one:  hot glass looks just like cold glass.

Note: already the PDC grant has benefited the students. I was able to take the Art 360 methods class to the studio for two days of learning about and making objects with glass (see: Fuse studio under teaching tag)
